This article examines modern and innovative approaches to teaching Russian as a foreign language in Uzbekistan, with a focus on the communicative method, ICT, and real-life communication tasks. The study highlights the shift in Uzbek higher education from traditional grammar-focused methods to interactive, student-centered approaches. Data were collected through classroom observations and student feedback. The findings indicate that ICT integration and real-life communication tasks significantly enhance students’ language proficiency, motivation, and engagement. Recommendations include expanding the use of digital platforms, incorporating practical communication exercises, and systematically combining the three approaches to ensure an effective learning process. These methods make learning Russian more interactive, practical, and aligned with global educational standards
