Authors

This study is dedicated to the pragmatic analysis of positive face-threatening acts in Uzbek educational discourse. In classroom
interactions, teachers and students employ speech acts such as criticism, disapproval, warnings, and insults, which may threaten
the interlocutor’s positive face. The main objective of the study is to identify the types of positive face-threatening acts occurring
in Uzbek educational settings and to analyze their pragmatic functions in classroom communication. The findings contribute to a
deeper understanding of the pragmalinguistic features of Uzbek educational discourse and shed light on the role of face
management and politeness strategies in teacher–student interaction.
