This article analyzes the importance of culture-oriented teaching strategies in foreign language learning. In the context of
globalization, effective language acquisition requires not only linguistic knowledge but also an understanding of the cultural
background of the target language. The study presents a comparative analysis of selected cultural concepts in Uzbek and English
cultures and their role in the language learning process. The findings show that culture-oriented teaching strategies positively
influence students’ communicative and pragmatic competence. Furthermore, integrating cultural elements into language teaching
contributes to the development of intercultural communicative competence.
