The work examines the features of the manifestation of strong earthquakes in the territory of the planned Tupolang reservoir,
taking into account the geoecological and seismo-ecological conditions of the territory. Based on the results of comprehensive
engineering-seismological and engineering-geological studies, the seismic hazard and the increase in seismic intensity depending
on the ground conditions were assessed. Data on the manifestations of destructive earthquakes that occurred in the southern part
of the Hissar Range and adjacent territories, as well as the results of a special study of the recurrence of seismic phenomena, were
analyzed. Using methods of engineering-geological analogy and engineering-seismometric observations, a seismic microzoning
scheme for the Tupalang reservoir territory was developed, and zones of varying expected earthquake intensity were identified.
