This article analyzes the structural-semantic features of criminal terms in English and Uzbek from a comparative-linguistic perspective. The relevance of the study is determined by the increasing complexity of legal relations, the diversification of forms of crime, the expansion of international legal communication, and the need to standardize criminal terminology. Criminal terms are specialized lexical units that express concepts such as crime, investigation, court, punishment, criminality, offence, victim, and the subject of crime in a precise, formal, and systematic manner. The study comparatively analyzes English terms such as crime, offence, felony, misdemeanor, robbery, assault, bribery, petty crime, quasi crime, and index crime, as well as Uzbek units such as jinoyat, jazo, jabrlanuvchi, o‘g‘rilik, poraxo‘rlik, sudlanganlik, jinoiy javobgarlik, og‘ir jinoyat, and o‘ta og‘ir jinoyat.
