This article examines the use of problems in teaching mathematics, including the use of non-standard problems, the didactic functions of problems and the importance of each function in the process of solving problems, factors in achieving effectiveness in mathematical education, as well as requirements for organizing students' mathematical activities, illustrated by practical examples.
