The article conceptually analyzes the methodological foundations of the technology for the development of critical thinking of
students. The main characteristics of critical thinking and the essence of its interaction with other forms of thinking are revealed.
The qualities necessary for the development of critical thinking in students, as well as the organizational stages of the technology
for the development of this thinking, methods and techniques for implementing these stages, as well as the content of the work
carried out in this process are explained scientifically and methodically.
