GLYCYRRHIZIN IS A SUBSTANCE THAT REPRESENTS THE VALUE OF THE LICORICE PLANT
It is known that today it is extracted from plants naturally the demand for compounds is increasing. The reason is that the drug is
mainly made of natural compounds used as a tool. From substances extracted from natural compounds low toxicity of the
prepared medicines, compatibility with the living organism and with its specific activity, it differs from synthetic drugs. One such
plant belonging to the Leguminosae family is licorice, the scientific name of which is Glycyriza glabra Linn. This plant has high
medicinal properties, several compounds such as glycyrrhizin, glycyrrhizic acid, isoliquiritin have been found, and anti-cancer,
anti-diabetic, anti-asthmatic, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and antispasmodic activities of these substances have been
determined. In addition, these products play a major role in hepatoprotective, immunological, and memory-enhancing activities.
