This article presents a comparative-semantic analysis of the value (axiological) component of the concept of “knowledge” in the
phraseological systems of English and Uzbek. The research material consists of 215 phraseological units (100 English and 115
Uzbek) selected through continuous sampling from A. V. Kunin’s English-Russian Phraseological Dictionary and Sh.
Rahmatullaev’s Explanatory Phraseological Dictionary of the Uzbek Language. The analysis identified five universal semantic
cores of the value component: knowledge as wealth, knowledge as light, knowledge as power and strength, learning as serious
labor, and ignorance as a deficiency. Although these semantic cores are universal, their quantitative representation and figurative
realization were found to differ from a linguocultural perspective. The study demonstrates that English phraseological units
predominantly convey an instrumental evaluation of knowledge, whereas Uzbek phraseological units tend to emphasize its spiritual
and sacred value. The findings can be applied to comparative phraseology, translation theory, and linguodidactics
