This article examines the development of practical competencies of future technology education teachers based on the STEAM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) approach. The study analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of STEAM
education, as well as its significance as a modern educational model grounded in the principles of constructivist pedagogy and
interdisciplinary integration. The essence of practical competence, its structural components, and its role in the process of technology
education are revealed. The findings indicate that the STEAM approach is an effective means of integrating students’ theoretical knowledge
with practical activities, developing problem-solving skills, creative and critical thinking, engineering thinking, and professional
competencies. Furthermore, the importance of project-based learning, problem-based learning, interactive teaching methods, and digital
technologies as key factors in the formation of practical competencies is substantiated.
