THE ROLE OF RESPONSIBILITY, DETERMINATION, AND EMOTIONAL STABILITY IN ADOLESCENTS' CAREER CHOICE
Downloads
The article theoretically examines the role of responsibility, perseverance, and emotional stability in the stability of adolescents’ career decisions. Career decision stability is not equated with rigid or irreversible choice; it is understood as the capacity to justify a chosen direction, remain committed long enough to implement relevant actions, and revise the decision deliberately when reliable new information emerges. A synthesis of international empirical findings suggests that conscientiousness, self-control, and planning support career decidedness and planning; perseverance sustains long-term goal pursuit and career preparation; and emotional stability helps regulate anxiety and uncertainty that may disrupt decision processes.
