THE STRUCTURE OF FINANCIAL LITERACY OF A PRESCHOOL EDUCATION ORGANIZATION DIRECTOR AND ITS ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

The article considers the financial literacy of a preschool director as a professional and pedagogical quality. It shows that existing definitions focus on individuals managing their personal finances and do not reflect the position of a leader who manages public resources. The author proposes a working definition of a director’s financial literacy and describes it as the intersection of four components – knowledge, practical skills, value attitudes and stable behaviour – with five functional areas of the director’s work. On this basis, four assessment criteria, a three-level scale and a set of diagnostic tools are proposed. Baseline diagnostic results showed that more than half of the directors were at the low level
