This article analyzes the significance of national values in developing spiritual competencies among primary school pupils from pedagogical and axiological perspectives. It examines the potential of national values to develop moral attitudes, national identity, patriotism, responsibility, honesty, diligence, kindness, and mutual respect. Spiritual competence is interpreted through cognitive, value-attitudinal, and practical-behavioral components. The article substantiates methodological opportunities for integrating national values into primary education through folklore, literature, historical and cultural heritage, traditional games, project and creative tasks, role-based situations, and school-family cooperation. The analysis shows that national values become more effective when they are transformed from theoretical knowledge into practical experience reflected in pupils’ everyday activities and behavior.
