The article examines the problem of psychologically preparing trainees of professional development and retraining courses for
their future professional activity. The study analyzes trainees' professional motivation, self-assessment, socio-psychological
adaptation and reflective abilities. A survey and testing involving 64 trainees were conducted, and the results were subjected to
statistical analysis to identify the psychological factors that increase the level of professional readiness. The findings indicate the
necessity of introducing an individual psychological approach into the educational process of adult learners undergoing professional
training.
