This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the impact of perfectionism on subjective well-being. Perfectionism, which involves evaluating oneself and others against high standards, can influence an individual's psychological state, emotional development, and social interactions. The article outlines three main forms of perfectionism: self-oriented, other-oriented, and socially prescribed perfectionism. Research findings indicate that stress and mood fluctuations related to high perfectionistic demands may reduce subjective well-being. However, setting healthy and achievable goals, social support, and employing strategies that promote emotional development can help enhance personal well-being.
