These days the growing prestige of Uzbekistan in the world community has led to increased interest in our republic and the study of the Uzbek language, and the opening of Uzbek language and culture centers in leading higher education institutions in more than 60 countries of the world. However, modern textbooks and study guides for teaching Uzbek language to foreigners have not been created in our republic, nor has a separate lexical minimum and grammatical minimum been developed for each level based on the competence standards of language education. This emphasizes that the creation of educational and methodological support for teaching the Uzbek language for foreigners is one of the urgent issues of today. Also, the development of special textbooks and training manuals so that Uzbeks living in different countries and their children do not forget their mother tongue is one of the urgent issues. The article gives some comments on how to solve this problem
