This article analyzes the semantic problems that arise in the translation of English prepositional phrases into Uzbek. The fact that prepositional phrases acquire a mobile meaning in many situations, different translations in the context of the document, and the need for a translator-based semantic analysis to ensure adequate translation are discussed. Important examples are provided based on the structural and semantic differences between English and Uzbek.
