The primary school period is characterized by active vocabulary acquisition, the formation of understanding, perception, memory and attention in students. In this process, the formation of the skills of correctly understanding, perceiving and applying the word and its essence plays an important role in enriching the student's worldview. Also, in developing a systematic approach to teaching lexicology in primary schools, it is important to identify existing problems, analyze them and develop alternative solutions. The article discusses the issue of teaching lexicology in primary schools and the problems associated with this process on the basis of examples and analysis.
