THE PSYCHOSEMANTIC INTERPRETATION OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS CONTAINING THE COMPONENT “KO‘NGIL”

This article analyzes the psychosemantic models and cognitive-structural organization of Uzbek phraseological units containing the “ko‘ngil” (soul/heart) component. The study is grounded in modern cognitive and linguocultural approaches, aiming to reveal the deep emotional, psychological, and axiological meanings embedded in such expressions. The "ko‘ngil" component does not merely reflect individual feelings but represents a conceptualized moral and cultural code shaped within the collective consciousness. Expressions such as “ko‘ngli cho‘kmoq” (heart sank), “ko‘ngli xira” (heart dimmed), and “ko‘ngli og‘rimoq” (heartache) are examined in relation to psychosemantic domains and modeled according to their metaphorical and gradational structures.
