This paper explores the epistemic and identitary roles of the personal pronouns “I” and “we” in academic discourse. It examines how authorial stance, reader inclusion, and collective research identity are linguistically constructed in scientific writing. The study highlights how pronouns serve not only grammatical but also sociocognitive functions in expressing certainty, collaboration, and community alignment within scholarly texts.
