Mazkur maqolada zamonaviy ilmiy matnlarda “I” va “we” kishilik olmoshlarining epistemik (bilim manbasi sifatida) va identitar (shaxsiy yoki guruhiy identifikatsiya vositasi sifatida) funksiyalari tahlil qilinadi. Muallif – o‘quvchi o‘rtasidagi pragmatik masofa, mualliflik pozitsiyasi, shuningdek, kollektiv ilmiy hamkorlik til orqali qanday ifodalanishi haqida misollar keltiriladi. Tahlil asosida olmoshlarning nafaqat grammatik, balki ijtimoiy-semantik yuklamalari ham yoritiladi.
