This article explores the mechanisms for developing students' sense of love for the homeland based on national values, traditions, language, and history. National identity is interpreted as one of the key factors that strengthens loyalty to the homeland through an individual's respectful attitude toward their own people, culture, and traditions. The study develops mechanisms to awaken national self-awareness and patriotism in students through socio-psychological, pedagogical, and spiritual-ethical methods of education. Additionally, proposals are made to improve the effectiveness of educational activities in higher education institutions based on ethnopedagogical principles.
