The article examines the concept of the "linguistic worldview" (LWV) in the context of translating works by A.P. Chekhov, whose prose is characterized by concise form, deep psychological insight, and culturally specific realities. Theoretical foundations of LWV, its structure, and its role in intercultural communication are discussed. Based on the short stories “The Lady with the Dog”, “The Student”, “Ionich”, and “Kashtanka”, the paper analyzes the challenges of rendering Chekhov’s LWV into English. Special attention is given to strategies for preserving national-cultural concepts, pragmatic subtext, and the author’s irony. The study employs methods of cognitive and cultural-linguistic analysis, comparative translation analysis, and narratology
