THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TOOLS IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING

This article examines the effectiveness of using artificial intelligence (AI) tools in teaching foreign languages, particularly English, based on a case study of first- year students at Alisher Navoiy University of Uzbek Language and Literature. The experiment involved 15 students over the course of one month, during which tools such as ChatGPT, Google Translate, ELSA Speak, Wordwall, and Kahoot were used. Findings show that AI tools significantly improved students’ vocabulary, pronunciation, writing, and speaking skills, while also enhancing motivation,
independent learning interest, and creativity.
