This article analyses the development of statist ideas as a new form of governance with the arrival of Islam in Central Asia in the VII-VIII th centuries, statist views in Sufi teachings such as Naqshbandiyya, Yassaviyya, Kubroviyya, and Qadiriyya, and the interpretation of statist structures during the reign of Sahibkiran Amir Temur and the Timurids from the perspective of Western scholars.
