"Ulysses" is a very unique, unique and complex work of world literature. This work has been the subject of discussion among literary critics for many years. James Joyce wrote Ulysses not for ordinary readers, but for writers who lived in his time, that is, for special people. Therefore, understanding the language of the work seems a bit complicated. To date, unfortunately, the prosodic, or phonetic, analysis of the language of James Joyce's novel "Ulysses" has not been studied much in Uzbek literary studies. For this reason, this article focuses on the phonetic part of the stylistic devices in the work. At the same time, the types used in the phonetic analysis approach and the definitions given to them are also included. Some terms used in phonetic analysis are also explained. Excerpts from the work itself are analyzed prosodic.
