LUG‘AT TARKIBINING RIVOJLANISHIDA FRANSUZ ADSTRATIV IZLAR
This article examines the characteristics of words borrowed from the French language in social, economic, and other domains, as well as their lexicographic aspects. It theoretically investigates the ongoing process of new word adoption from French, their modern domains of use, and directions of development. The concept of “adstratum” as a linguistic term based on factors of borrowing linked to geographical proximity and political relations is revealed. It is substantiated that the influence of modern French on the Uzbek language also corresponds to adstrative features. Examples are provided and theoretical concepts are analyzed. The study also explores terms related to the notion of adstratum — such as substrate and superstrate. Modern French borrowings in the Uzbek language manifest adstrative traces through extralinguistic phenomena.
