PHYSIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF OVERWEIGHT AND OBESITY AMONG RURAL AND URBAN POPULATIONS

The article studied the prevalence of overweight and obesity in individuals aged 18–29 years living in the city of Karshi and the
Koson district of the Kashkadarya region. In urban men, overweight was 50%, obesity of grades 1–2–3–4 was 30%, 5%, 10% and
5%, respectively. In rural men, overweight was 58.4%, obesity of grade 1 was 25%, grade 2 was 11.1%, and grade 4 was 5.55%.
In rural men, grade 3 obesity was not detected. In urban women, overweight was 29.2%, obesity of grade 1 was 41.7%, grade 2–3
was 12.5%, and grade 4 was 4.1%. Among rural women, overweight was 52.5%, grade 1 obesity was 42.5%, grade 2 obesity was
2.5%, and grade 4 obesity was 2.5%. Grade 3 obesity was not observed among rural women.
