This article focused on poetry by renowned poet Erkin Vokhidov from the 1970s and 1980s, and included lexical references with a nominative basis in its analysis. The article analyzes the structural, functional, and pragmatic features of lexical references used in the poet's poems, as well as their role in organizing poetic texts. The analysis also focuses on the role of lexical references in realizing the author's goals, their role in expressing emotional and evaluative (connotative) relationships and establishing communicative communication, and their role in organizing poetic dialogue. The results of the analysis provide a deeper understanding of the communicative and artistic-aesthetic functions of lexical references in Uzbek poetry.
