Ushbu maqolada chet tilini o‘qitish metodlarining nazariy asoslari va ularning ta’lim jarayonidagi o‘rni izchil va tizimli tahlil
etiladi. Tqdqiqotda chet tilini o‘qitish metodikalari, jumladan, grammatik-tarjima, audiolingval, to‘g‘ridan to‘g‘ri metod (Direct
method) va kommunikativ yondashuvning yuzaga kelish bosqichlari va metodik o‘ziga xosliklari qiyosiy-tarixiy yondashuv
asosida o‘rganiladi. Shuningdek, maqolada chet tilini o‘qitish metodlari muayyan lingvistik, psixologik va pedagogik nazariyalar
asosida qay darajada takomillashib borgani tahlil qilinib, metod tanlovi va uning nazariy asoslarining ilmiy jihatdan to‘g‘ri
belgilanishi chet tilini o‘zlashtirish samaradorligi bilan uzviy bog‘liqligi ilmiy asosda yoritib beriladi.
