The article highlights the theoretical and practical significance of pedagogical diagnostic methods in the process of identifying students’ motivational development trajectories. The study interprets the motivational development trajectory as a dynamic process closely connected with a student’s attitude toward learning, internal and external motivating factors, goal orientation, and reflective activity. Pedagogical diagnostic methods are substantiated as tools for determining students’ current motivational states, monitoring changes in motivation, and identifying developmental needs.
