This scientific article analyzes the problem of developing pedagogical forecasting skills of future teachers based on modern
pedagogical approaches. Also, the content of the concept of pedagogical forecasting and its role in the formation of professional
competence are revealed. An author's model aimed at improving the methodology for developing pedagogical forecasting skills is
developed and its effectiveness is substantiated through experimental work. The results of the study indicate the practical
importance of the methodology in improving the quality of training future teachers.
