Authors

This work presents a detailed discussion of the theoretical foundations and practical approaches for determining the focal length of a converging (convex) lens under laboratory conditions. The experiment is carried out within the framework of the thin lens model  by observing and measuring real images formed in an object-lens-screen system at various geometric configurations. The focal
length is determined through high-precision measurements of the object distance (a) and image distance (b), followed by application of the fundamental lens equation. In addition, the possibility of experimentally locating the focal point using the parallel-ray method with a distant light source is examined, allowing comparison of results and evaluation of measurement accuracy.
