THE DYNAMICS OF EXISTENTIAL CRISES IN EARLY ADULTHOOD
This article examines adulthood as a distinct stage of life characterized by the complexity of its periodization and the intensity of
existential experiences. Based on major theoretical approaches, the age boundaries of adulthood, the “acute phases” of crises, and
the phenomenon of the quarter-life crisis are analyzed. Drawing on previously unexamined sources, the article identifies the main
features, types, and phases of the quarter-life crisis. Furthermore, in order to determine the relationship between existential crises
and age-related crises, the results of an empirical study are analyzed in relation to the principal phases of existential crisis dynamics.
A generalized model of crisis dynamics is proposed, outlining the sequential stages of its development and emphasizing the role of
psychological resilience in determining its outcomes. The article concludes by highlighting the dual nature of existential crises
