In this article, we analyzed the practical significance of the concept of foundation in the process of training future teachers. The
foundation approach involves organizing the educational process on a scientific basis and systematically designing the content of
teaching, as well as the effective use of innovative methods. This concept plays a key role in developing professional competencies
of future teachers, forming independent thinking and strengthening practical skills. The study sheds light on the functions of
foundation in the pedagogical process and its role in improving the quality of education and its compatibility with modern
educational technologies. It also considers the mechanisms for applying this concept in higher education institutions and factors
such as ensuring its effectiveness. In addition, the issues of how the educational process organized on the basis of foundation brings
the professional training of future teachers to a qualitatively new level and increases their competitiveness were highlighted.
