This article provides information on the application of innovative methods in teaching the optics section of physics and the possibilities of
teaching it in conjunction with the fields of science and technology based on an integrated approach. The role of optics in education and
the advantages of developing students' scientific thinking through studying this branch of science are considered. Existing problems in
teaching optics in modern educational programs are also highlighted
