INGLIZ VA O ‘ZBEK TILLARIDA HURMAT VA EHTIROMGA OID TIL BIRLIKLARINING DERIVATSION XUSUSIYATLARI
This article examines the derivational features of lexical units expressing respect and honor in the English and Uzbek languages. Using comparative-typological and structural-semantic methods, the study analyses affixation, conversion, compounding and other word-formation models that produce honorific vocabulary in both languages. The findings reveal that while universal derivational tendencies exist, each language reflects its own cultural, historical and social values through specific morphological and lexical patterns. The article contributes to contrastive linguistics, sociolinguistics and language pedagogy.
