This article examines the linguoculturological essence of euphemisms used in the literary works of the Uzbek writer Gafur Ghulom and the English writer Jerome K. Jerome through a comparative-analytical approach. The study considers the role of euphemisms in the literary traditions of both cultures–Uzbek and Anglo-Saxon–their functions in the language system, as well as the features of their realization in literary texts.
