This article analyzes the radical transformation of the primary education system in the Uzbek SSR during the early 1930s and its conversion into an ideological and economic tool for the totalitarian state, based on primary sources. The study focuses on official state curricula for collective farm primary schools and directive articles of the period. The research highlights the mechanisms used to mobilize schoolchildren for forced labor in cotton production and their indoctrination with the concept of “class struggle”
