This article presents data on the variability and determinacy levels of 12 quantitative traits in pea (Pisum sativum L.) varieties
“Shirin” and “Sputnik”. The obtained results revealed weak, moderate, and strong correlations among quantitative traits of pea.
Strong correlations were observed between the number of pods, their weight, and the number of seeds per plant. Traits such as
plant height, total number of nodes, node of the first pod formation, and number of seeds per pod showed stability in terms of the
level and structure of correlations. In contrast, the degree of association for traits such as pod length and 1000-seed weight was
found to be lower. The structure of correlations was grouped into categories such as “productivity” and “plant height”. Under
irrigated soil conditions, it is recommended to focus on traits such as pod length, pod weight, and the node of first pod formation
when conducting selection in pea genotypes.
