O‘ZBEKISTONDAGI ERKIN IQTISODIY ZONALARNING ATROF-MUHITGA TA’SIRINI IQTISODIY-GEOGRAFIK BAHOLASH
This article analyzes the environmental impact of the free economic zones (FEZ) operating in Uzbekistan from an economic-geographic perspective. In recent years, a number of free economic zones have been established in the country to attract investment, develop industrial production, and increase export potential. Although these zones make a significant contribution to economic development, assessing their impact on the ecological situation remains a pressing issue. During the study, methods of economic-geographic analysis, regional comparison, and generalization of statistical data were used. The results showed that the location of free economic zones, industrial specialization, and the level of natural resource use directly affect the environmental situation. At the same time, it was determined that there are opportunities to reduce negative impacts through the implementation of modern technologies and the improvement of environmental management mechanisms.
