LINGVOMETAFORIK TERMINLARNING LISONIY TABIATI
The article presents clear insights into metaphors and the linguistic nature of linguometaphorical terms. It highlights that the lexicographic interpretation of the linguistic term ega (“subject”) in the five-volume Explanatory Dictionary of the Uzbek Language is distinguished by its detailed description, where seven meanings of the lexeme are identified and explained. The study also analyzes the dictionary meanings of metaphors, the ways they are used, and their role in context. Particular attention is paid to their accurate and effective use in communication.
