This article examines the concept of communicative competence, which has undergone significant transformation in response to globalization, the digitalization of education, and the rapid development of artificial intelligence. It analyzes contemporary approaches to communicative competence in English language teaching by examining both classical theoretical models and recent AI-oriented perspectives.
