MOLECULAR-GENETIC CHARACTERIZATION OF SOME SPECIES OF THE GENUS CATOCALA (LEPIDOPTERA, EREBIDAE) DISTRIBUTED IN UZBEKISTAN
In this study, the molecular-genetic characteristics of Catocala aestimabilis Staudinger, 1892, C. neonympha Esper, 1805, and C.
nymphaea Esper, 1787, belonging to the genus Catocala Schrank, 1802 (tribe Catocalini) collected from the western and
southwestern oases of Uzbekistan, were analyzed based on the mtDNA COI region. According to the results, 22 nucleotide
differences were recorded between C. aestimabilis_Uzb and C. neonympha_Uzb, 8 differences between C. aestimabilis_Uzb and
C. nymphaea_Uzb, and 15 differences between C. neonympha_Uzb and C. nymphaea_Uzb. The obtained COI sequences were
deposited in the GenBank database, and corresponding accession numbers were obtained.
