This work is devoted to a comparative study of the qualitative and quantitative composition of macro- and microelements in various
vegetative (leaves, stems) organs of wild-growing and cultivated Lycium barbarum L. Using energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence
spectrometry (EDXRF), the content of essential (K, Ca, S, P, Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, Ni) and conditionally toxic elements was determined.
Cultivation conditions (use of mineral fertilizers, artificial irrigation) were found to have a determining effect on the mineral profile
of plant organs.
Cultivated samples were shown to be characterized by increased accumulation of potassium, aluminum, and zinc, while wild
populations exhibited specific selectivity for the accumulation of individual microelements (Mn, Cu, Ag) as a result of adaptation
to natural edaphic stress. The obtained data are critical for the standardization of medicinal plant materials and the assessment of
their elemental safety
