The article examines the pedagogical potential of oral folklore in developing the spiritual and moral education of young people. The study
uses theoretical analysis, comparative analysis, content analysis, generalization and pedagogical modeling to identify the educational
functions of epics, fairy tales, proverbs, legends and folk songs. The results show that folklore materials can effectively support the
formation of patriotism, loyalty, honesty, courage, diligence, respect and responsibility when they are linked with problem-based
discussion, reflection and real-life situations. The practical contribution of the study is the systematization of pedagogical conditions for
integrating oral folklore into the educational process of higher education.
