This article examines the lexical-semantic nature of gradonymy, its development in Uzbek linguistics, and its relationship with
related phenomena such as synonymy, antonymy, hyperonymy-hyponymy, and polysemy. The study focuses on the main
characteristics of gradonymic relations, including the gradual increase or decrease of a particular semantic feature, the sequential
and directional arrangement of linguistic units, and the relative nature of gradonymic series. The manifestations of gradonymy at
different language levels and its linguopoetic potential in literary, particularly poetic, texts are also discussed. The article highlights
the role of gradonyms in creating semantic precision, expressiveness, emotional dynamics, and imagery in poetic discourse
