This article presents a mythopoetic analysis of the system of characters in shamanic ritual folklore associated with the treatment of diseases. It examines the functional and semantic features of the shaman, the patient, disease or mythological forces causing illness, ancestral spirits, patrons, and protective figures within healing rituals. Particular attention is paid to the role of mythological worldview, ritual actions, verbal formulas, and symbolic elements in the formation of these characters. The characters of shamanic ritual folklore are analyzed through mythopoetic models of opposition, mediation, protection, and restoration, while their significance in the artistic representation of illness and healing motifs is also determined.
