This article presents a scientific-theoretical analysis of the cognitive characteristics that determine adolescents' vulnerability or
resilience to cybercrime. The role of risk perception, impulsivity, self-control and decision-making processes typical of the
developing adolescent brain is examined within the frameworks of the dual-process theory, social cognitive theory and the general
theory of crime. It is substantiated that the immaturity of prefrontal regulatory mechanisms, combined with heightened sensitivity
to social reward, increases adolescents' susceptibility to online manipulation, cyberbullying and cyber-fraud. Based on the
theoretical analysis, practical recommendations are proposed for developing cognitive-behavioral prevention programs aimed at
strengthening adolescents' digital risk literacy.
