The article analyzes the changes that occurred in the crown system of the Bukharan Emirate in the second half of the 19th century, the appointment of the emirate’s prince Abdulahad Tura as the heir to the throne by the emir Muzaffar, as well as the confirmation of the new crown prince of the emirate by the Russian emperor Alexander III. In the process of writing the article, extensive use was made of local sources and materials published in the empire’s periodicals of that time, which detailed Abdulahad Tura’s journey through the central cities of the empire in 1883 to participate in the coronation ceremony of the Russian Emperor.
